Dolosal Gel is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, sprain, arthritis, and low back pain. Musculoskeletal pain could occur due to arthritis, osteoporosis, fractures, dislocations, problems with the bone structure or injury to the bones, joints, tendons, muscles, and ligaments. Arthritis is a joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage.
Dolosal Gel contains Aceclofenac, Capsaicin, Methyl salicylate, Linseed, Camphor, and Menthol. Aceclofenac and Methyl salicylate work by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Capsaicin exerts an analgesic effect by blocking the pain messengers to the nerves. Linseed oil helps in reducing inflammation. Camphor and Menthol provide a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. It also enhances the penetration of drugs. Together, Dolosal Gel helps in providing relief from pain.
Dolosal Gel is for external use only. You are advised to use Dolosal Gel for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Dolosal Gel may cause application site reactions like itching, irritation, redness, and burning sensation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Do not apply Dolosal Gel on wounds, skin injuries, irritated skin, skin abrasions, and infections. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Dolosal Gel is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Do not take any other NSAIDs for pain relief along with Dolosal Gel unless prescribed. Avoid showering immediately after applying Dolosal Gel. Do not apply external heat or cover the treated skin with dressings after applying Dolosal Gel.
Dolosal Gel is a combination of six drugs, namely: Aceclofenac, Capsaicin, Methyl salicylate, Linseed, Camphor, and Menthol. Dolosal Gel is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, sprain, arthritis, and low back pain. Aceclofenac and Methyl salicylate work by blocking the effect of chemical messengers known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make other chemical prostaglandins. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser prostaglandins are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Together, Dolosal Gel helps in providing relief from pain and inflammation.

Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Dolosal Gel is not recommended for children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Stop taking Dolosal Gel and consult your doctor immediately if you have stomach pain or any signs of bleeding in the intestine or stomach, such as blood in stools.
