About Docyz Tablet

Docyz Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, respiratory infections, eye infections, gum infections, and sexually transmitted infections (like gonorrhoea and syphilis). Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Docyz Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Docyz Tablet contains Doxycycline and Lactobacillus. Doxycycline prevents the synthesis of essential proteins which are necessary for the survival of the bacteria, thereby killing the bacteria. Lactobacillus is a microorganism that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to infections or antibiotic use. Together, Docyz Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.

Take Docyz Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Docyz Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and stomach upset. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

  • Eat fibre-rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas and bananas.

  • Avoid foods rich in calcium, grapefruit and grapefruit juice as they might hinder the absorption of antibiotics.

Docyz Tablet is unlikely to cause diarrhoea as it contains lactobacillus, a friendly bacteria. Lactobacillus is a probiotic which helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to infections or the use of antibiotics. Thereby helps in preventing diarrhoea.
It is recommended to complete the course of Docyz Tablet even if you feel better, as it is an antibiotic. Leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance).
Avoid taking iron supplements, calcium supplements, multivitamins, laxatives or antacids along with Docyz Tablet. Maintain a gap of two hours between Docyz Tablet and other medicines. However, consult your doctor before taking Docyz Tablet with other medicines.
Docyz Tablet contains doxycycline, which might make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen whilst going outside.
You should avoid drinking milk while taking Docyz Tablet, as it can reduce the absorption of the medicine. However, contact a doctor if you have any concerns.
Store in a cool and dry place as advised on the label. Protect from light. Keep it out of reach from children.
