About Difsoon P 25mg/75mg Injection

Difsoon P 25mg/75mg Injection belongs to a class of medications known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) or pain killers used to treat pain, including musculoskeletal pain (pain in the muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and nerves), gout attacks, pain caused by kidney stones, pain caused by injuries, fractures or trauma. On the other hand, it may also be used to prevent or treat post-operative pain.

Difsoon P 25mg/75mg Injection contains Diclofenac (analgesic) and Paracetamol (fever reducer/mild analgesic). Diclofenac works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger known as cyclooxygenase (COX), which causes pain and swelling at the injured or damaged tissue site. On the other hand, paracetamol acts as a mild analgesic (mild pain reducer) which enhances the pain relief action of Diclofenac.

Difsoon P 25mg/75mg Injection may cause common side effects such as headache, dizziness, vertigo, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, flatulence, decreased appetite, and injection site reactions such as local pain and induration. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any components in Difsoon P 25mg/75mg Injection. Let your doctor know if you have/had liver or kidney problems; your doctor may need to monitor your liver function. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, suspect you are pregnant, plan to have a baby or if you are breastfeeding. Difsoon P 25mg/75mg Injection may cause dizziness and loss of balance. If you experience these, you should not drive or operate machinery. Difsoon P 25mg/75mg Injection is not recommended for use in children less than 14 years of age.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Pain: Pain is not a disease but a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Pain may be dull or sharp; it might be constant or come and go. The tolerance level of pain might vary from person to person. Pain can be generalized (overall body aches) or localized (affecting a specific body area).

Musculoskeletal pain: It is generally caused by disorders of bones, joints, muscles, tendons, or ligaments. Injuries (mostly sports-related) are the most common cause of musculoskeletal pain. Muscle pain (myalgia) can be caused due to injury, infection, loss of blood flow to the muscle, illness, or a tumour.

Gout: Gout is a type of arthritis called 'gouty arthritis'. It is caused by a build-up of a naturally occurring chemical (uric acid) in the body (hyperuricemia). The excess uric acid deposit and crystallize in the joints leading to pain and inflammation. The general signs and symptoms of gout include sudden, severe attacks of pain, swelling, redness, and tenderness in the joints, mostly in the joint at the base of the big toe.
