Dexacip 0.1% Eye Drop is used to treat eye inflammation. It is also used to treat corneal injury caused by chemicals, foreign bodies or heat burns. Dexacip 0.1% Eye Drop contains Dexamethasone, which works by blocking certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation. Thereby, it provides relief from symptoms of inflammation like redness, soreness, and swelling.

In some cases, Dexacip 0.1% Eye Drop may cause side effects such as discomfort, dry eyes, sensitivity to light, and blurred vision. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Directions for Use

Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Dexacip 0.1% Eye Drop if you are allergic to any of its components or if you have fungal, viral or parasitic eye infections or tuberculosis of the eye. Inform the doctor if you have an eye infection, eye wound, thinning of eye tissues, Cushing's syndrome, adrenal gland problems, HIV infection or diabetes.   • Wash your hands regularly. Avoid touching the eyes with dirty hands. 
  • Avoid rubbing the eyes.
  • Avoid sharing eye makeup such as eyeliner, mascara or kohl.
  • Always use clean towels or tissues to wipe your eyes and face.
  • Regularly wash and change the pillowcases.
  • If you wear contact lens: Clean and replace contact lens more often. Never share contact lens. Remember to wash your hands before inserting and after removing the contact lens. 
  • Avoid staring at the digital screens for longer durations. Rest your eyes for every 20 minutes.
  • Blink regularly as it helps in the spread of hydrating substances such as mucus and tears across the eyes.
