Derma-KT Cream contains Ketoconazole, Tolnaftate, Clobetasol Propionate, Neomycin, and Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline. Ketoconazole stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Tolnaftate works by stopping the growth of fungi that cause skin infections. Clobetasol Propionate works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Neomycin works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for the survival of the bacteria. Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline belongs to the class of antifungals with additional antibacterial action. Together, Derma-KT Cream helps in treating skin infections.

In some cases, Derma-KT Cream may cause side effects such as skin peeling, dryness, burning sensation, irritation, stinging sensation, itching and redness at the application site. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not use Derma-KT Cream if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of its components. Derma-KT Cream is for external use only. Do not swallow. If you are pregnant, planning to have a baby, or are a nursing mother, you should not use Derma-KT Cream without a doctor's advice. Do not use Derma-KT Cream in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for longer, as it may cause adverse effects. Unless your doctor advises, do not wrap or cover the treated area with a bandage unless your doctor advises. Do not apply Derma-KT Cream on children's skin unless prescribed by the doctor.

Even if your infection has been completely cured, you may need to apply it on a regular basis to keep the symptoms from returning.

• Consuming food rich in probiotics helps develop the immune system against allergies.
• Limit intake of food that might trigger allergies, such as dairy products, soy, eggs and nuts.
• Do not scratch the affected skin; it can spread the infection to other body parts.
• Don't walk barefoot in wet places like changing rooms and gym showers. Wear flip-flops or sandals to prevent fungal infections.
• To prevent the spread of infection, avoid sharing towels, combs, bedsheets, shoes, or socks with others.
• Avoid consumption of foods with excess sugar, as it may flare up inflammation.
• Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats and fish in your diet.
• Reducing stress and maintaining a good sleep cycle would be helpful.
• Avoid getting in contact with harsh soaps, detergents and rough fabrics.
