Clap-M Tablet 10's contains Flupentixol and Melitracen. Flupentixol is an antipsychotic medication that works by inhibiting dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that influences thoughts and mood. Melitracen is a tricyclic antidepressant that raises the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that aid in mood regulation and the treatment of depression. Thus, Clap-M Tablet 10's effectively treats various forms of depression and anxiety.

Take Clap-M Tablet 10's as prescribed. Directions for Use

Take Clap-M Tablet 10's as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Clap-M Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of the components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Let your doctor know if you have circulatory collapse (specific failure of the blood circulation), depressed level of consciousness due to any cause (e.g. intoxication with alcohol, opiates or barbiturates), untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, coma, blood disorders, phaeochromocytoma (a small vascular tumour), recent myocardial infarction, any degree of atrioventricular block or disorders of cardiac rhythm and coronary artery insufficiency. Concomitant treatment of Clap-M Tablet 10's with MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) is contraindicated as it may cause serotonin syndrome (a combination of symptoms, possibly including confusion, agitation, tremor, hyperthermia and myoclonus). Therefore, do not take Clap-M Tablet 10's if you are taking MAOIs or have taken them in the past 14 days.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interactions:  Clap-M Tablet 10's may interact with MAO inhibitors (isocarboxazid, phenelzine), barbiturates (pentobarbital, phenobarbital), CNS depressants (diazepam, clonazepam, alprazolam), and neuroleptics (thioridazine, chlorpromazine).

Drug-Food Interactions: Limit or avoid the consumption of alcohol.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Clap-M Tablet 10's should not be used in patients with circulatory collapse (specific failure of the blood circulation), depressed level of consciousness, untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, coma, blood disorders, phaeochromocytoma (a small vascular tumour), recent myocardial infarction, any degree of atrioventricular block or disorders of cardiac rhythm and coronary artery insufficiency.
