About Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet

Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in adults. Hypertension is a condition in which the force of blood against the artery walls is very high. It will be an addition to the workload of the heart and arteries.

Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Chlorthalidone (diuretic), Cilnidipine (calcium channel blocker), and Telmisartan (angiotensin II receptor blocker). Chlorthalidone belongs to the class of diuretics (water tablets) that work by increasing the removal of excess water and certain salts, such as sodium and potassium, from the blood. This removal of water from blood reduces the fluid volume circulating through blood vessels and improves blood flow. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that acts on muscle cells in the artery walls and relaxes muscle cells. Thereby, it relaxes and widens arteries (blood vessels) and improves the blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. Telmisartan works by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II in the body that causes the narrowing of blood vessels leading to high blood pressure. Thereby, Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet widens and relaxes blood vessels. Thus, it lowers high blood pressure.

Take Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dizziness, headache, low blood pressure, stomach upset, or tiredness. Most of these side effects of Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet is not recommended for children below 18 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, avoid taking Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet and consult a doctor. If you are about to take anesthesia or undergo any surgery, you are advised to inform your doctor that you are taking Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet . Drive only if you are alert, as Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet may cause dizziness or tiredness. You are recommended to avoid alcohol consumption with Cilacar TC 6.25 Tablet as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure.
