About Chlor D Eye/Ear Drops

Chlor D Eye/Ear Drops belongs to the class of combination medications called ‘antibiotics' and 'steroids' used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections and ear infections. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Chlor D Eye/Ear Drops does not work against infections caused by viruses and fungi.

Chlor D Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of Chloramphenicol, Dexamethasone, and Polymyxin B. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that acts by interfering with the formation of essential proteins required for bacterial growth. Dexamethasone is a steroid that reduces inflammation and symptoms associated with infection, such as redness and irritation. Polymyxin B is bactericidal, which works by killing the bacterial cell and preventing the formation of bacterial cell walls, which is essential for survival. Together Chlor D Eye/Ear Drops prevent the spread of eye and ear infections caused by a wide range of gram-negative bacteria causing eye/ear infections.
