About Cetz Syrup

Cetz Syrup is an antihistamine medicine used in the treatment of allergies. It helps provide relief from various allergic reactions in children. An allergic reaction is a response that occurs when the foreign particles enter the body. This allergic reaction may vary from person to person. Cetz Syrup is used to treat allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria (swelling, redness, and itchiness of the skin).

Cetirizine helps to relieve discomfort and unpleasant symptoms, like blocked/runny/itchy nose, red/watery eyes, and skin rashes that occur due to allergic conditions.

Cetz Syrup may cause certain side effects such as abdominal pain, headache, cold-like nose symptoms, or diarrhoea. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or bother your child, please consult your paediatrician. Cetz Syrup should be given as advised by your paediatrician. Do not give more than the prescribed dose of to the child. Cetz Syrup can be given with or without food. The dose of the medicine will be decided by your paediatrician depending on the type and severity of the infection.

Cetz Syrup is intended for pediatric use only. Avoid giving Cetz Syrup to your child if she/he is allergic to it. Keep your doctor informed about your child’s health condition including ongoing medications and medical history to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before administration, inform your child’s doctor about liver and kidney disease. Cetz Syrup is not recommended for use in children below six months of age as its safety and efficacy are not established.

Directions for Use

What if I have taken an overdose of Cetz Syrup

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Cetz Syrup may include severe drowsiness. In children, mental/mood changes (such as restlessness and irritability) may occur before drowsiness. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
