Cerebrolysin Injection comprises Cerebroprotein Hydrolysate, a neurotrophic agent, which acts on the central nervous system in various ways to protect neurons and improve memory, attention, and vigilance.
Cerebrolysin Injection will be administered by a qualified healthcare professional. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as headache, nausea, vertigo, agitation, increased sweating, fever, confusion, hallucinations, and flu-like syndrome. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects. Cerebrolysin Injection is restricted to use in people who are sensitive to any of the product constituents or people with status epilepticus (continuous state of seizure), major epilepsia (epilepsy) and severe renal dysfunction. During pregnancy and lactation, Cerebroprotein hydrolysate should only be used after careful risk/benefit considerations, so before taking Cerebrolysin Injection, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Cerebrolysin Injection may impair your ability to make judgements, think clearly, or respond fast. Do not drive, operate heavy machinery, or engage in any other risky activity. Avoid consuming alcohol with Cerebrolysin Injection as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness.

Should not administer Cerebrolysin Injection in the presence of existing severe renal insufficiency so let your doctor know before prescribing Cerebrolysin Injection if you are with renal impairment. And should not mix Cerebrolysin Injection with balanced amino-acid solutions in one infusion. Cerebrolysin Injection may cause side effects like Light-headedness or dizziness, and it may affect your ability to concentrate and drive. Hence, it is recommended not to drive or operate machinery until you are mentally alert. Seek medical attention if the symptoms persist longer. It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Cerebrolysin Injection. However, as a precautionary measure, it is advisable not to take or limit alcohol.
