About Cef 200 Tablet

Cef 200 Tablet belongs to the group of cephalosporin antibiotics indicated in the treatment of bacterial infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Cef 200 Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Cef 200 Tablet contains 'Cefpodoxime', which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Cef 200 Tablet works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, Cef 200 Tablet kills the bacteria and helps in treating bacterial infections.

In some cases, Cef 200 Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea (watery or loose stool), and abdominal pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Directions for Use

Check the label for directions before use. Shake the bottle well to loosen the powder, and add water up to the mark on the bottle and shake well. Administer the prescribed dose as advised by the doctor.
