About Bylenta Trio 40 mg/10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet

Bylenta Trio 40 mg/10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in adults. Hypertension is a condition in which the force of blood against the artery walls is very high. It will be an addition to the workload of the heart and arteries.

Bylenta Trio 40 mg/10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Chlorthalidone (diuretic), Cilnidipine (calcium channel blocker), and Telmisartan (angiotensin II receptor blocker). Chlorthalidone belongs to the class of diuretics (water tablets) that work by increasing the removal of excess water and certain salts, such as sodium and potassium, from the blood. This removal of water from blood reduces the fluid volume circulating through blood vessels and improves blood flow. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that acts on muscle cells in the artery walls and relaxes muscle cells. Thereby, it relaxes and widens arteries (blood vessels) and improves the blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. Telmisartan works by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II in the body that causes the narrowing of blood vessels leading to high blood pressure. Thereby, Bylenta Trio 40 mg/10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet widens and relaxes blood vessels. Thus, it lowers high blood pressure.

Take Bylenta Trio 40 mg/10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Bylenta Trio 40 mg/10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Most of these side effects of Bylenta Trio 40 mg/10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Bylenta Trio 40 mg/10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Bylenta Trio 40 mg/10 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is not recommended for children below 18 years of age.
