Broxtid Syrup is a cough syrup. It helps relieve cough associated with mucus and chest congestion caused by the common cold and flu in children. Coughing can be defined as the body's way of clearing irritants like allergens, mucus or smoke from the airways.
Broxtid Syrup is a combination medicine of Ambroxol and Terbutaline. Ambroxol works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose, whereas terbutaline relaxes muscles and widens the airways.
Broxtid Syrup may cause certain side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhoea, tremors, and stomach upset. If these side effects worsen, please consult your child's doctor. Broxtid Syrup should be given as advised by the doctor.
Broxtid Syrup is intended for paediatric use only. Avoid giving Broxtid Syrup to your child if he/she is allergic to any of the components present in the formulation. Keep the doctor informed about your child’s condition, including the medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before administration, inform the doctor if your child has any liver or kidney disease.
