BP-Loride Tablet

BP-Loride Tablet belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). BP-Loride Tablet helps lower blood pressure, reducing the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels.

BP-Loride Tablet contains Atenolol, Amiloride, and Hydrochlorothiazide. Atenolol widens the blood vessels and helps the heart beat more regularly. Amiloride and Hydrochlorothiazide work by causing the kidneys to remove unnecessary water and salt from the body and into the urine. Together, BP-Loride Tablet helps treat hypertension.

Sometimes, BP-Loride Tablet may cause side effects such as headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, weakness, and diarrhoea. These side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not take BP-Loride Tablet if you are allergic to its components. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. BP-Loride Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid/limit the consumption of alcohol. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to avoid unpleasant side effects/interactions.

BP-Loride Tablet is a combination of three medicines, namely: Atenolol (beta-blocker), Amiloride (potassium-sparing diuretic), and Hydrochlorothiazide (thiazide diuretic). It reduces the heart's workload, widens the blood vessels and helps the heart beat more regularly. Amiloride and Hydrochlorothiazide work by causing the kidneys to remove unnessesary water and salt from the body into the urine. Together, BP-Loride Tablet helps treat hypertension.

Do not take BP-Loride Tablet if you are allergic to its components. Inform the doctor if you have a slow heartbeat, heart failure, coronary artery disease, asthma, diabetes, pheochromocytoma (tumour of the adrenal gland), kidney or liver problems, peripheral vascular disease, high/low potassium/sodium/calcium levels, breathing problems, severe illness, gout, overactive thyroid, or glaucoma. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. BP-Loride Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Let the doctor know if you take other medicines, including supplements and herbal products.

• Exercise regularly for at least 30 minutes most days.
• Eat a diet rich in whole grains, vegetables, and fruits.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Maintain a healthy weight with proper diet and exercise.
• Manage stress with meditation, yoga, and massage.
