About Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet

Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet is an antihypertensive medicine used to treat hypertension. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery wall is high. As a result, it leads to heart problems, irregular heartbeat, and other complications.

Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet contains Bisoprolol and telmisartan. Bisoprolol is a beta blocker that acts directly on the heart to lower blood pressure and heart rate. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). It relaxes blood vessels by inhibiting the angiotensin hormone. When combined, they improve the heart's pumping efficiency and blood flow.

Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet may cause certain side effects like headache, feeling exhausted, sore back, diarrhoea, congested feeling, and swollen ankles that usually resolve after some time. Prolonged intake of Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet may lead to a lowering of blood pressure. Take Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not take Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor about your medical history and current medication, including herbs and supplements, before starting the treatment with Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet . This can help reduce side effects/interactions. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, are breastfeeding, have liver disease, kidney disease, heart failure, diabetes, heart valve problem or heart attack beforehand.

Medicinal Benefits

Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet is a combination medicine of bisoprolol and telmisartan, which help effectively lower raised blood pressure. Bisoprolol (beta blocker) helps relax our blood vessels by blocking the action of certain natural substances in your body. This lowers your blood pressure and helps in reducing your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future. Telmisartan works by blocking the action of certain substances responsible for tightening the blood vessels. This medicine needs to be taken regularly for better results.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Hypertension: It is also called high blood pressure and is a serious condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes high. This hardens the heart to pump blood. Raised blood pressure can cause chest pain (angina), heart attack (when the blood supply to the heart is blocked), stroke (brain damage) and kidney failure. Bisopharm-T 5 Tablet is used in treating hypertension and thus helps reduce further risk. Blood pressure can be diagnosed with the help of a blood pressure monitor called a sphygmomanometer.
