Azicam 500 LB Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. A bacterial infection occurs when it enters the body. Azicam 500 LB Tablet is used to treat various respiratory system infections (like pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and sinusitis), skin infections (like acne and rosacea), ear infections, and sexually transmitted infections caused by bacteria. Azicam 500 LB Tablet is only effective in treating infections caused by bacteria and not effective for viral infections like flu or a common cold.

Azicam 500 LB Tablet is a combination medicine containing Azithromycin (antibiotic) and Lactic acid bacillus (probiotic). Azithromycin works by inhibiting the production of proteins required by the bacteria for its survival. This slows bacterial growth resulting in the death of the bacteria. Lactobacillus sporogenes is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut.

Azicam 500 LB Tablet may cause certain common side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, and indigestion. It should not be used if you are allergic to it. Directions for Use

Take Azicam 500 LB Tablet as prescribed by your physician. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of medicine. Do not chew or crush or break the tablet.

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have liver problems, myasthenia gravis, arrhythmia, electrolyte imbalance and colitis (inflammation of the intestine) as it can cause serious adverse effects.
