About Aurolube Eye Drop

Aurolube Eye Drop belongs to the class 'eye lubricants' generally used for the treatment of dry eyes. This is a common condition (dry eyes) that may occur if your eye doesn't produce enough tears or poor-quality tears. This tear instability leads to inflammation and damage of the eye's surface, burning or scratchy sensation in your eyes, stringy mucus in or around your eyes, sensitivity to light, Eye redness and sensation of having something in your eyes.

Aurolube Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines, namely: polyvinyl alcohol and povidone-iodine. Polyvinyl Alcohol is a lubricating medicine similar to natural tears. It provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic, it kills bacteria and relieves minor irritation in the eye.

Aurolube Eye Drop should be used as advised by your doctor. Aurolube Eye Drop is only for use in eyes. Some of the minor side effects are Blurred vision, Eye irritation, Watery eyes may occur temporarily. If it persists take advice of your doctor.

Aurolube Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines namely: polyvinyl alcohol and povidone-iodine. Polyvinyl Alcohol is a lubricating medicine similar to natural tears. It provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic, it kills bacteria and relieves minor irritation in the eye.

Directions for Use

Wash your hands thoroughly with water before and after use. Lie down and tilt your head backward. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instill the number of drops as advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Do not touch the tip of the dropper as it may contaminate the contents. Do not place the tip directly into the eye while instilling drops. If the dropper touches the eye, immediately squeeze two to three drops onto the tissue and wipe the dropper’s tip with salt water.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight

  • Stop smoking and avoid drinking alcohol.
  • Use eyeglasses when you are going out.

Special Advise

If you are using other eye drops along with Aurolube Eye Drop, maintain an interval of at least 5 minutes before administering other medicines in the same eye to avoid dilution.
