Asomex LTH 2.5 mg Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Hypertension is a medical condition in which blood pressure is elevated persistently in the arteries. 

Asomex LTH 2.5 mg Tablet contains Losartan and S-amlodipine. Losartan lowers blood pressure and increases blood flow by preventing the narrowing of blood vessels. S-amlodipine dilates (widens) blood vessels and increases blood flow. Altogether, it helps lower blood pressure.

In some cases, Asomex LTH 2.5 mg Tablet may cause side effects like ankle swelling, headache, flushing (feeling warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), dizziness, tiredness, palpitations (irregular heartbeat), and upset stomach. Most of these side effects of Asomex LTH 2.5 mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Asomex LTH 2.5 mg Tablet may interact with other blood pressure treating medicines (Lisinopril, Ramipril, benazepril, aliskiren), pain killers (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, celecoxib, diclofenac, indomethacin, meloxicam, hydrocodone), heart-related medicines (metoprolol, nitroglycerin), high cholesterol treating drugs (simvastatin), fluid retention drugs (hydrochlorothiazide), drugs treating impotence (sildenafil), anti-diabetics (insulin), anti-TB (rifampicin).

Drug-Food Interaction: Minimize high potassium foods intake and avoid over the counter potassium supplements, grapefruit, or juice.

Drug-Disease Interaction: People with low blood pressure, heart, kidney, or liver problems or severe dehydration, hyperkalemia (high potassium levels in the blood), and diabetes should consult the doctor before taking Asomex LTH 2.5 mg Tablet .
