Aristogyl Plus Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat diarrhoea. Diarrhoea is a condition where there is a frequent need to empty the bowels. It is characterised by loose and watery stools.

Aristogyl Plus Tablet contains Metronidazole, Diloxanide, and Simethicone. Metronidazole and Diloxanide kill the bacteria and infection-causing micro-organisms. Simethicone prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract. Together, Aristogyl Plus Tablet helps treat diarrhoea.

In some cases, Aristogyl Plus Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, dry mouth, headache, and flatulence. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Let the doctor know if you are allergic to any of the components in Aristogyl Plus Tablet . Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Aristogyl Plus Tablet is a combination of three drugs: Metronidazole (antibiotic), Diloxanide (amoebicide), and Simethicone (anti-foaming agent). Aristogyl Plus Tablet is used to treat diarrhoea. Metronidazole kills the bacteria by damaging their DNA. Diloxanide kills the infection-causing micro-organisms by acting on the intestine. Simethicone decreases the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract. Together, Aristogyl Plus Tablet helps in treating diarrhoea.

Do not take Aristogyl Plus Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, heart rhythm disorder, stomach or intestinal disease, blood problems, fungal/yeast infections, or thyroid problems. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let the doctor know if you take other medicines, including supplements and herbal products.

• Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
• Include bland foods such as bananas, rice, apples, cream of wheat, soda crackers, farina, applesauce, and toast to avoid the aggravation of the digestive system.
• Avoid eating foods such as milk, dairy products, spicy foods, processed foods, pork, veal, sardines, raw vegetables, rhubarb, onions, corn, citrus fruits, alcohol, pineapples, cherries, seeded berries, grapes, caffeinated and carbonated drinks. 
• Eat fibre-rich food such as whole grains, lentils, beans, broccoli, and peas.
• Wash your hands properly after using the toilet to prevent infections.
• Clean the toilets regularly with a disinfectant.
• Wash your hands thoroughly before eating, while preparing or serving.
