Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml is used to treat bacterial and fungal infections of the ear. An ear infection occurs when bacteria or fungi affect the middle or outer ear, leading to pain and inflammation. Ear infections can be painful due to inflammation and fluid build-up.

Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml is a combination of four drugs, namely: Beclomethasone (corticosteroid), Clotrimazole (antifungal), Lidocaine or lignocaine (local anaesthetic), and Gentamicin (antibiotic). Beclomethasone works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Thereby reducing the redness and swelling caused due to bacterial infections. Clotrimazole works by damaging the fungal cell membranes and killing fungi. Lidocaine decreases pain sensation by preventing pain signals from reaching the brain. Gentamicin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it destroys bacteria. 

Use Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml is only for use in ears. You are advised to use Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml may cause side effects such as mild irritation, stinging, or burning sensation in the ear. Most of these side effects of Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

It is for external use only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after use. Use the dropper provided with the pack to instill the drops into the affected ear as advised by your doctor. Replace the outer cap after use. Please do not touch the container's tip to the ear or surrounding areas, as it may contaminate the ear drops.

You are recommended to complete the full course of treatment as discontinuing Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml suddenly may worsen the infection. Avoid contact with Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml by nose, mouth, or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly. If you experience ear discharge, drainage, or worsening pain, stop using Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml, and please consult a doctor immediately. Please do not touch the container's tip to the ear or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml. Use the solution within 1 month after opening the container. If you are using any other drops or remedies in the ear, inform your doctor before using Anicain Plus Ear Drops 5 ml.

• To strengthen the immune system, eat fruits, vegetables, high-quality proteins, and whole wheat grains.
• Avoid getting things like shampoo, soap, and water into the ear, as it can cause itching.
• Do not poke or scratch the ear, as it can cause damage to the ear canal, leading to inflammation. The inflamed skin can be infected by bacteria or fungi, which can cause infections in the ear.
• Wash your hands often.
• Avoid second-hand smoke.
• Stay healthy as immunity prevents infections.
