Angilo-50 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), chronic heart failure, and diabetic nephropathy. It is also used to decrease the risk of stroke in people who have high blood pressure and a heart condition called left ventricular hypertrophy (enlargement of the walls of the left side of the heart). It contains Losartan, which works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently. In some cases, you may experience dizziness, tiredness, low blood pressure, weakness, anaemia (lack of blood), hyperkalaemia (high potassium levels in the blood), change in kidney function, orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure when standing up from lying or sitting position) or hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar).

About Angilo-50 Tablet

Angilo-50 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), chronic heart failure, and diabetic nephropathy. It is also used to decrease the risk of stroke in people who have high blood pressure and a heart condition called left ventricular hypertrophy (enlargement of the walls of the left side of the heart).

Angilo-50 Tablet contains Losartan, which works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

In some cases, you may experience dizziness, tiredness, low blood pressure, weakness, anaemia (lack of blood), hyperkalaemia (high potassium levels in the blood), change in kidney function, orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure when standing up from lying or sitting position) or hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar). Most of these side effects of Angilo-50 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Angilo-50 Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. It is advised to complete a full course of medication and not stop taking Angilo-50 Tablet suddenly, as it may cause recurring symptoms or worsen the condition. Angilo-50 Tablet is not recommended for pregnant, breastfeeding women and children below six years of age. Drug-Drug Interaction: Angilo-50 Tablet may have interaction with pain killers (ibuprofen, aspirin), high blood pressure lowering medicines (lisinopril, enalapril, ramipril, benazepril, captopril, fosinopril, moexipril, perindopril, quinapril, trandolapril, enalaprilat, aliskiren), water pills (amiloride, spironolactone, triamterene), blood thinners (heparin), muscle relaxant (tizanidine), antibiotics (trimethoprim), and potassium supplements.

Drug-Food Interaction: Angilo-50 Tablet may interact with potassium salt substitutes, potassium supplements and grapefruit or its juice.

Drug-Disease Interaction: People with angioedema (swelling of tissue below the skin), low blood pressure (hypotension), diabetes, kidney, liver, and heart problems should consult a doctor before taking Angilo-50 Tablet .

Hypertension (high blood pressure): It is a medical condition in which the blood pressure is elevated persistently in the arteries. High blood pressure is mostly caused by obesity, diabetes, smoking, high salt intake, stress, lack of physical activity, or ageing. Normal blood pressure lies between 90/60 mmHg and 120/80 mmHg. If the blood pressure is 140/90 mmHg or greater, it is considered high blood pressure. If it is left untreated, it may lead to heart disease and stroke. 

Heart failure: It is a chronic condition in which the heart is unable to pump blood as effectively as it should.
