Anarzole Tablet is used to treat breast cancer in women who have gone through menopause (cessation of menses periods). Breast cancer is a type of cancer that develops in breast cells stimulated by the female sex hormone known as estrogen.

Anarzole Tablet works by blocking the aromatase enzyme, which is involved in producing the estrogen hormone. The cancer cells require estrogen for their growth. Hence, by blocking the aromatase enzyme, Anarzole Tablet prevents the growth of cancer cells. Together, Anarzole Tablet helps prevent or stop the growth of tumours (cancer cells) in other body parts.

Take Anarzole Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Depending on your medical conditions, you are advised to take Anarzole Tablet for as long as your doctor prescribes it. In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as headache, musculoskeletal (bone, muscle, or joint) pain, hot flashes, nausea, skin rashes, osteoporosis, and weakness. Do not hesitate to talk with your doctor if you persistently experience any of these side effects.

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Anarzole Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Do not stop Anarzole Tablet midway. Talk to your doctor before taking Anarzole Tablet if you have allergies, osteoporosis (thinning of bones), bone fractures, high levels of cholesterol, or severe liver or kidney disease. Avoid taking Anarzole Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Anarzole Tablet causes weakness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Drug-Drug Interactions: Using thalidomide (immunomodulatory agent) with Anarzole Tablet can increase the risk of dangerous blood clots.

• Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly to maintain proper weight.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Consume leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, fatty fish, berries, yoghurt, apples, peaches, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, beans, herbs, and spices.
• Avoid fried, processed meats, refined carbs, and added sugar.
• Get optimal sleep, and rest well.

• Your doctor may advise you to regularly measure body density before, during, and after the treatment as the Anarzole Tablet may cause bone thinning due to the reduction of estrogen in the body.
• Anarzole Tablet should be taken under strict medical supervision. The doctor will regularly monitor your condition while you are taking it.
