AlmERzil-10mg Tablet is used to treat the symptoms of dementia in people with mild and moderately severe Alzheimer's disease. It contains Donepezil, which works by increasing the levels of acetylcholine in the brain involved in memory function. In some cases, it may cause side effects like diarrhoea, nausea, headache, muscle cramps and tiredness. About AlmERzil-10mg Tablet

AlmERzil-10mg Tablet is used to treat the symptoms of dementia in people with mild and moderately severe Alzheimer's disease. In Alzheimer's disease, the brain cells degenerate and die, which causes a gradual decline in behavioural/social skills and thinking ability (dementia).

AlmERzil-10mg Tablet contains Donepezil, which works by increasing the levels of a substance (acetylcholine) in the brain involved in memory function by slowing down the breakdown of acetylcholine. Thereby, it helps treat symptoms of dementia in patients with Alzheimer's disease.

In some cases, AlmERzil-10mg Tablet may cause side effects like diarrhoea, nausea, headache, muscle cramps and tiredness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult the doctor.

Do not take AlmERzil-10mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have a heart rhythm disorder, a stomach ulcer, urination problems, asthma or other breathing disorders, seizures or liver disease. Directions for Use

Tablet/capsule: Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it.Orally disintegrating strip/tablet: Place the strip/tablet on the top of your tongue and allow it to disintegrate. Swallow the dissolved medicine. Syrup/Drops: Shake the bottle well before use. Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.

What if I have taken an overdose of AlmERzil-10mg Tablet

The symptoms of overdose include vomiting, severe nausea, blurred vision, sweating, drooling, feeling lightheaded, seizures (fits), shallow breathing, slow heartbeat, fainting or muscle weakness. The doctor has prescribed me AlmERzil-10mg Tablet for 2 months, what common precautions should I take?

The long term use of the AlmERzil-10mg Tablet results in liver function disturbances, changes in electrolyte (magnesium, calcium and sodium) levels and B12 deficiency. Therefore, if you experience symptoms such as loss of appetite, yellow skin and eyes, nausea, dizziness, itching, fits, headache, tiredness, irritability, or pale skin, consult your doctor immediately.
