Afoglip 20 Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes, especially in persons whose sugar levels are too high and cannot be controlled by diet and exercise. It is used alone or in combination with other drugs to lower blood sugar levels. It contains Teneligliptin, which increases insulin release from the pancreas and decreases blood glucose levels. Prolonged intake of Afoglip 20 Tablet may cause acute pancreatitis (swollen pancreas). Increased risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) can occur when Afoglip 20 Tablet is added to other anti-diabetic agents or insulin therapy. In this case, your doctor may adjust the dose of Afoglip 20 Tablet . Severe allergic reactions might occur in some patients taking Afoglip 20 Tablet like anaphylaxis, angioedema (swelling under the skin), and exfoliative skin conditions. Afoglip 20 Tablet should not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes and for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.
