Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment

Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment is used to treat allergic eye inflammations. It relieves symptoms like eye-watering, itching, redness and irritation by suppressing the immune cell response.

Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment contains Tacrolimus, which works by inhibiting the production of inflammatory chemicals by specific immune cells (T lymphocytes).

In some cases, Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment may cause side effects such as foreign body sensation in the eye, burning sensation, and blurred vision. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment may cause blurred vision; therefore, drive only if you have clear vision. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to prevent any side effects/interactions.

This medicine may be indicated in conditions such as severe atopic blepharoconjunctivitis (inflammation of eyelid and conjunctiva), intractable allergic conjunctivitis (eye inflammation caused by allergy), giant papillary conjunctivitis (allergic reaction of the eye), corneal graft rejection, vernal keratoconjunctivitis (allergic inflammation of the conjunctiva) and atopic keratoconjunctivitis (inflammatory disease of the eye). Consult your doctor if you do not see any improvement even after two weeks of treatment with Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment.

Do not use Acromus 0.1% Eye Ointment if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform the doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, diabetes, blood coagulation problems, heart problems, infections, allergic reactions, red eye or tearing. Avoid sunlight (UV) exposure and consumption of grapefruit juice. Do not touch the tip of the container to prevent contamination. Let the doctor know if you are using any other medicines.
