AB Clav-625 Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, bone, soft tissue, joints, urinary tract, and respiratory tract. AB Clav-625 Tablet may also be used to treat infectious diarrhoea. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria infect the body. Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in the body. AB Clav-625 Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.
AB Clav-625 Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Amoxycillin, Clavulanic acid, and Lactic acid bacillus. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, it kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of Amoxycillin against the bacteria. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic which helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut which may have gotten upset due to the infection. Together, AB Clav-625 Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.
The dose and duration of AB Clav-625 Tablet can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, bloating, and gas. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
