About Nimomeg 10mg Infusion

Nimomeg 10mg Infusion belongs to a group of medicines called calcium channel blockers indicated as prophylaxis and treatment of ischaemic neurological deficits caused by narrowing of blood vessels following subarachnoid haemorrhage of aneurysmal origin. Subarachnoid haemorrhage is the bleeding around the brain which is usually the result of bleeding from an aneurysm (a weakened area in a blood vessel).
 
Nimomeg 10mg Infusion contains ‘Nimodipine’ that relaxes the smooth muscles of the small blood vessels in the brain, thereby allowing narrowed blood vessels to open up. This helps in increasing blood flow & circulation, reduces blood pressure, and lowers the risk of damage caused by insufficient blood flow to the brain after bleeding.
 
In some cases, Nimomeg 10mg Infusion may cause side effects such as low blood pressure, vasodilation, nausea, constipation, flatulence, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
