About Glura MP 1000 Tablet

Glura MP 1000 Tablet belongs to the group of anti-diabetic medicines used to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus. This condition causes blood sugar to be too high because the body does not normally produce or use insulin.

Glura MP 1000 Tablet contains Metformin, Pioglitazone, and Sitagliptin. These drugs work by increasing the body’s response to insulin and decreasing the amount of glucose made by the liver and absorbed from food. Thus, it helps control blood sugar levels.

In some cases, Glura MP 1000 Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, stomach upset, diarrhoea, and headache. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, if any side effects persist or worsen, consult the doctor.

Do not take Glura MP 1000 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any unpleasant side effects/interactions.

Uses of Glura MP 1000 Tablet

Treatment of type-2 diabetes mellitus

Medicinal Benefits

Glura MP 1000 Tablet is used to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus. It contains Metformin (biguanides), Pioglitazone (thiazolidinediones) and Sitagliptin (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors). Metformin increases the body’s response to insulin and decreases the amount of glucose absorbed from food and made by the liver. Pioglitazone enhances the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Sitagliptin increases certain natural substances in the body that lower blood glucose levels. Disease/Condition Glossary

Type-2 diabetes mellitus: Type-2 diabetes mellitus, also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes or adult-onset diabetes, is a chronic or lifelong disease that keeps the body from utilising insulin (a hormone which controls sugar levels in your blood) properly. It is a medical condition in which blood glucose levels are above normal. People with type 2 diabetes either do not produce enough insulin, or the insulin produced cannot perform its function in the body (insulin resistance). Middle-aged or older individuals are most likely to suffer from type 2 diabetes; hence, it is also known as adult-onset diabetes. Type 2 diabetes symptoms include lack of energy, tiredness, frequent urination, excess thirst, dry mouth, blurry vision, constant hunger, weight loss, and itchy skin.
