Alsita-MP 1000 Tablet belongs to the group of anti-diabetic medicines used to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus. This condition causes blood sugar to be too high because the body does not normally produce or use insulin.

Alsita-MP 1000 Tablet contains Metformin, Pioglitazone, and Sitagliptin. These drugs work by increasing the body’s response to insulin and decreasing the amount of glucose made by the liver and absorbed from food. Thus, it helps control blood sugar levels.

 In some cases, Alsita-MP 1000 Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, stomach upset, diarrhoea, and headache. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, if any side effects persist or worsen, consult the doctor.
 
Do not take Alsita-MP 1000 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any unpleasant side effects/interactions.

Alsita-MP 1000 Tablet is used to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus. It contains Metformin (biguanides), Pioglitazone (thiazolidinediones) and Sitagliptin (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors). Metformin increases the body’s response to insulin and decreases the amount of glucose absorbed from food and made by the liver. Pioglitazone enhances the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Sitagliptin increases certain natural substances in the body that lower blood glucose levels. Together, Alsita-MP 1000 Tablet helps treat type 2 diabetes and prevents complications of diabetes such as kidney damage and nerve and eye problems.

Do not take Alsita-MP 1000 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have type 1 diabetes, kidney or liver problems, diabetic ketoacidosis, heart problems, pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), high triglycerides, gallstones, alcoholism, bladder cancer, eye problems caused by diabetes, bone problems, or if you use insulin. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Let the doctor know if you are taking any other medicines, including supplements and herbal products.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Inform the doctor if you are taking anti-diabetic (insulin glargine, insulin degludec), diuretic (furosemide), hormone (levothyroxine), or anticonvulsant (pregabalin).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform the doctor if you have pancreatitis, congestive heart failure, type 1 diabetes, lactic acidosis, liver, or kidney problems.

• Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and beans in your diet.
• Try eating food at regular intervals. Do not skip meals. Also, try not to overeat.
• Maintain a healthy weight by exercising regularly.

• Stay physically active as it helps manage blood glucose levels. 
• Avoid/limit the consumption of alcohol as it may affect blood sugar levels.
