About Dabigza 150 Capsule

Dabigza 150 Capsule belongs to a class of drugs known as anticoagulants or blood thinners. Dabigza 150 Capsule is primarily used to prevent stroke (blood clots in the brain). It is also used to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in leg veins), and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lung) by reducing blood clot formation. Deep vein thrombosis is a medical condition in which blood clots form in deep veins, usually in the legs. Pulmonary embolism is a condition in which a blood clot blocks the arteries in the lungs.

Dabigza 150 Capsule contains Dabigatran etexilate mesylate, which is a new oral blood thinner. It works by blocking a substance (a protein known as thrombin) in the blood and prevents blood clot formation. Therefore, Dabigza 150 Capsule preventing blood clot formation in the body.

Take Dabigza 150 Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Dabigza 150 Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical conditions. You may experience bleeding, stomach pain, nausea, and indigestion. Most of these side effects of Dabigza 150 Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Directions for Use

Take Dabigza 150 Capsule with or without food as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break it.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: Dabigza 150 Capsule may have interaction with other blood thinners (warfarin, phenprocoumon, heparin, acenocoumarol, clopidogrel, ticagrelor, prasugrel, acetylsalicylic acid, rivaroxaban). antifungal medicines (ketoconazole, itraconazole), medicines for heart disease (amiodarone, dronedarone, quinidine, verapamil), pain killers (acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, diclofenac), antibiotics (rifampicin, clarithromycin), antiviral/HIV medicines (ritonavir), medicines for fit disorder/epilepsy (carbamazepine, phenytoin).

Drug-Food Interaction: Dabigza 150 Capsule may interact with Dabigza 150 Capsule may interact with cranberry juice, noni juice, grapefruit juice, pomegranate juice, and green tea. Avoid foods rich in vitamin K such as coriander, cabbage, spinach, broccoli, collard greens, kale (leaf cabbage), black liquorice, turnip greens, avocados, and brussels sprouts as they may affect the activity of Dabigza 150 Capsule . Also, avoid alcohol intake as it may increase the risk of bleeding.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Dabigza 150 Capsule should not be used in patients with a bleeding disorder, heart disease, and kidney disease.
