Covent Kid Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Acebrophylline, Guaifenesin, and Terbutaline. Guaifenesin belongs to the class of expectorants that works by increasing the volume of fluid in the airways, reduces the stickiness of mucus, and helps to remove it from airways. Terbutaline belongs to the class of bronchodilators that relaxes muscles and widens the airways.

You should take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Covent Kid Syrup are stomach pain or discomfort, vomiting, constipation, heartburn, loss of appetite, drowsiness, dizziness, skin rash, itching, nervousness, tremors, and headache. Most of these side effects of Covent Kid Syrup do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Do not take Covent Kid Syrup if you are allergic to Acebrophylline, Guaifenesin, Terbutaline, or any other contents of it. Covent Kid Syrup may raise blood glucose levels, so this medicine should be used with caution in patients with diabetes. Covent Kid Syrup should be used with caution in elderly patients as they are more prone to side effects such as dizziness and drowsiness.
