Betaspas 10mg/500mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called anti-spasmodic agents used to relieve abdominal pain/cramps. Abdominal pain occurs between the chest and pelvic region, generally known as stomach or tummy pain. The common causes of abdominal pain include inflammation, infections, intestinal disorders and obstruction/blockage.
Betaspas 10mg/500mg Tablet contains Hyoscine butylbromide and paracetamol. Hyoscine butylbromide works by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and intestine. Paracetamol is a pain reliever (analgesic) that prevents the release of chemical messengers that result in pain. Together, Betaspas 10mg/500mg Tablet relieves abdominal cramps.
You are advised to take Betaspas 10mg/500mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical conditions. In some cases, Betaspas 10mg/500mg Tablet may cause dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and a slow heart rate. Most of these side effects of Betaspas 10mg/500mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
