Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm

Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm is a combination of two medicines, namely: Choline salicylate and lidocaine. Choline salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), whereas lidocaine is a local anesthetic. Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm is primarily used to treat mouth ulcers. Mouth ulcers, also known as canker sores, are small, painful lesions that develop in the mouth or gums' base.

Choline salicylate works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger in your body, known as cyclo‑oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical 'prostaglandins' (PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Lidocaine blocks the pain signals from the nerves to the brain, thereby helps in decreasing the pain sensations. Together, Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm helps in treating mouth ulcers.

Use Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm as suggested by the doctor. Take a small amount of medicine onto your finger and apply it directly onto the affected area. If Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm comes in contact with eyes, rinse with water immediately. Drug-Drug Interactions: Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm may have interaction with painkillers (acetaminophen, hydrocodone), a local anaesthetic (prilocaine), and an inorganic compound (magnesium hydroxide).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm may have interactions with teething pain, seizures, gastrointestinal toxicity, anaemia, coagulation, heart, kidney, and liver problems.

• Avoid eating foods that irritate mouth ulcers.
• Avoid acidic foods as they can irritate mouth ulcers.
• Include whole grains and alkaline fruits and vegetables,
• Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. Include multivitamins, especially B12, folate, zinc, and iron.
• Maintain good dental hygiene by brushing after meals and regular flossing.
• Gargling with salt water also helps in treating mouth ulcers.
• Apply ice or damp tea bags to numb the pain.
• Try natural remedies such as chamomile tea, Echinacea, myrrh, and liquorice root. 

• Clean and dry the affected area before using Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm.
• If Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm comes in contact with eyes rinse with water immediately.
• Wash your hands before and after using Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm.
• To treat your condition effectually continue using Nusmily-LA Gel 15 gm for as long as your doctor has suggested it.
