Nephroace Tablet is used in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy (diabetic kidney disease). Diabetic nephropathy is kidney damage resulting from diabetes. It is a major cause of kidney failure. 

Nephroace Tablet contains Taurine and Acetylcysteine, which belong to the antioxidant class. This medication functions by shielding the kidneys from damage caused by dangerous substances (free radicals), hence assisting in the reduction of free radical generation that damages tissue. 

Nephroace Tablet may cause certain side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, drowsiness, fever, abdominal pain, and rash. If these side effects persist, consult your doctor immediately. Take Nephroace Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not take Nephroace Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Before taking Nephroace Tablet , inform your doctor if you have any history of asthma, liver or kidney diseases, or any allergic reactions. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Nephroace Tablet .

Nephroace Tablet is a combination medicine consisting of taurine and acetylcysteine. Nephroace Tablet increases the risk of Steven-Johnson syndrome and Lyell syndrome, characterized by severe skin rashes. So, stop taking this medication and consult your doctor immediately if you notice skin rashes. Nephroace Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age.

Drug-drug interactions: Nephroace Tablet may interact with medications used to treat cough, a medicine used to treat poisonings (activated charcoal), aminoglycoside antibiotics (gentamicin, streptomycin, tobramycin, and amikacin, etc.), other antibiotics (penicillin and tetracycline), and a medication used to treat angina (glyceryl trinitrate).

Drug-disease interactions: Nephroace Tablet should be used with caution in patients with asthma, stomach ulcers, liver disease, kidney disease, and allergic to histamines.

• Eat at regular intervals. Do not take the long gap between a meal or snack.
• Lose weight gradually to achieve a healthy body mass index (18.5 to 24.9).
• Replace refined carbohydrates containing whole-grain foods and increase intake of fruits and other fibre-enriched foods.
• Monitor your blood sugar level and blood pressure regularly, especially when there are a lot of fluctuations.

Diabetic nephropathy: Diabetes-related kidney damage progresses over time in a condition known as diabetic nephropathy. An elevated blood sugar level leads to excessive blood filtering by the kidneys. Nephropathy can result from the kidneys' inability to filter substances due to ongoing overwork.
