About Jactozo Tablet

Jactozo Tablet belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry the adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.

Jactozo Tablet contains Ferrous ascorbate, which is a combination of iron and vitamin C. Iron works by replenishing iron stores, and vitamin C enhances iron absorption in the body. Thus, Jactozo Tablet helps to treat iron deficiency.

Take Jactozo Tablet as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea or dark-coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Jactozo Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Jactozo Tablet contains Ferrous ascorbate, which is a combination of iron and vitamin C. Iron works by replenishing iron stores by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body so that each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. Thus, it replenishes iron stores in the body. Vitamin C enhances iron absorption in the body. Thereby, Jactozo Tablet helps to treat iron deficiency.

Directions for Use

Take this medicine with or without food as advised by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before use and take the recommended dose with the help of a measuring cup/dropper provided with the pack.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: Jactozo Tablet may have interaction with anticonvulsants (phenytoin), antibiotics (chloramphenicol, levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, minocycline), bisphosphonates (alendronate), medicines used to lower high blood pressure (methyldopa), thyroid medicine (levothyroxine), antiparkinsonian agent (levodopa).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid intake of dairy products, coffee or tea with Jactozo Tablet at the same time as they may reduce the absorption of Jactozo Tablet .

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have a stomach ulcer, kidney problems, metabolic disorders, or intestinal or stomach problems, inform your doctor before taking Jactozo Tablet .

Jactozo Tablet should be used with caution in patients suffering from stomach ulcers as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, it is advised to inform your doctor if you have an ulcer before taking Jactozo Tablet .
Jactozo Tablet may turn stools to black colour. It is a common side effect of Jactozo Tablet and is not harmful.
