About Ferrobenz-150 Tablet

Ferrobenz-150 Tablet belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry the adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.

Ferrobenz-150 Tablet contains Ferrous ascorbate, which is a combination of iron and vitamin C. Iron works by replenishing iron stores, and vitamin C enhances iron absorption in the body. Thus, Ferrobenz-150 Tablet helps to treat iron deficiency.

Take Ferrobenz-150 Tablet as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea or dark-coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Ferrobenz-150 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Directions for Use

Take this medicine with or without food as advised by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before use and take the recommended dose with the help of a measuring cup/dropper provided with the pack.

You are not recommended to take Ferrobenz-150 Tablet with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the concentration of Ferrobenz-150 Tablet in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits). However, please consult a doctor before taking Ferrobenz-150 Tablet with phenytoin.
