Foetop Tablet belongs to a class of 'nutritional supplements,' primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies and anaemia (lack of red blood cells). It provides essential nutrients for the development of the baby during pregnancy and prevents birth defects. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body is unable to absorb or get enough nutrients from food.

Foetop Tablet contains Biotin and Folic acid. Biotin (Vitamin B7) rejuvenates the cells and keeps the liver, skin, and nervous system healthy. It treats biotin deficiency and is essential for the proper growth and development of the foetus during pregnancy. Folic acid helps in forming red blood cells and prevents and treats folate deficiency (low blood levels of folate). When taken by pregnant women, Folic acid prevents miscarriage and neural tube defects in infants.

Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. In some cases, Foetop Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, diarrhoea, and stomach upset. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Brief your medical history to the doctor if you have any heart/kidney/liver diseases before starting Foetop Tablet . It is essential to let your doctor know if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mother before using Foetop Tablet . Foetop Tablet does not usually interfere with your driving ability. It is advised to limit alcohol intake to avail maximum benefits of Foetop Tablet . Foetop Tablet should be used for a child only when prescribed by a doctor.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Foetop Tablet . Excessive alcohol consumption reduces the absorption and increases the elimination of folic acid. Alcohol can also worsen the side effects like stomach upset. Hence, please avoid alcohol while using Foetop Tablet . Foetop Tablet is possibly safe when prescribed by a doctor to your child. Keep Foetop Tablet away from direct sunlight. Do not store Foetop Tablet above 25ºC.

• Try Vitamin B complex food sources like milk, cheese, eggs, liver and kidney, chicken, red meat, tuna, mackerel, and salmon, shellfish, oysters, clams, dark green vegetables, such as spinach and kale, beets, avocados, potatoes, whole grains, cereals, kidney beans, black beans, and chickpea.
• Try folate-rich food sources like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, leafy green vegetables, cabbage, kale, spring greens, spinach, peas, chickpeas, kidney beans, liver (avoid this during pregnancy), and breakfast cereals fortified with folic acid.
• Include fruits like citrus, banana, and watermelon in your diet.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
• Cut down on sugar, salt and processed foods.
• Drink plenty of water.
