Varnflo OZ 500mg/200mg Tablet belongs to the class of medicines called ‘antidiarrheal’ used to treat diarrhea that occurs due to infections. Diarrhea is a condition in which bowel movements are too frequent, leading to loose and watery stools. In general, infection of the digestive tract is the common cause of diarrhea. Different types of bacteria can cause infection.
Varnflo OZ 500mg/200mg Tablet contains Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, and Lactobacillus. Ofloxacin is a quinolone antibiotic and inhibits DNA gyrase required for the replication, transcription, and repair of the DNA of the bacteria. Ornidazole inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby kills the bacteria. Lactobacillus restores the good bacteria in the gut, which is destroyed by the antibiotic. Together, Varnflo OZ 500mg/200mg Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.
