Ternac 1% Cream is an antifungal medicine that is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, such as ringworm, jock itch, and athlete’s foot. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).
Ternac 1% Cream contains Terbinafine hydrochloride, an antifungal that works by damaging the fungal cell membranes, which are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. Thereby, kills fungi and clears the fungal infection.
Ternac 1% Cream is only for external use. Use Ternac 1% Cream as advised by the doctor. Avoid contact of Ternac 1% Cream with nose, mouth, or eyes. In case Ternac 1% Cream comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience side effects like itching, irritation, or skin peeling.
