Tegoyes 15 Capsule is indicated in the treatment of stomach/gastric cancer. Stomach (gastric) cancer is a type of cancer that originates in the cells lining the stomach. Symptoms may include feeling bloated after eating, nausea, heartburn or indigestion.

Tegoyes 15 Capsule contains Tegafur, Gimeracil and Oteracil, which work by inhibiting the genetic material and preventing the growth of cancer cells. Thereby, it helps treat stomach cancer.

In some cases, Tegoyes 15 Capsule may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation. Do not be reluctant to talk with your doctor if any of the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not use Tegoyes 15 Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tegoyes 15 Capsule is not recommended for children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Tegoyes 15 Capsule is indicated in the treatment of stomach/gastric cancer. Tegoyes 15 Capsule contains Tegafur, Gimeracil and Oteracil. Tegafur is converted into the active drug 5FU (fluorouracil) in the liver and then absorbed by tumour cells. It inhibits the synthesis of genetic material (DNA and RNA) and prevents the growth of cancer cells. Gimeracil prevents the degradation of 5FU, and Oteracil inhibits the gastrointestinal toxicity of 5FU. Together, Tegoyes 15 Capsule helps treat stomach cancer.

Do not take Tegoyes 15 Capsule if you are allergic to any of its components, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have a history of severe and unexpected reactions to fluoropyrimidine therapy, known dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) deficiency, severe bone marrow suppression, or end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis. Inform the doctor if you have bone marrow suppression, diarrhoea, dehydration, kidney or liver problems, or eye toxicity. Tegoyes 15 Capsule is not recommended for use in children below 18 years. Let the doctor know if you take other medicines, including supplements and herbal products.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Inform the doctor if you are taking fluoropyrimidines (capecitabine, 5-FU, flucytosine), CYP2A6 inhibitors, or anti-viral agents (sorivudine, brivudine).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform the doctor if you have bone marrow suppression, end-stage kidney disease, glucose/galactose intolerance, or malabsorption.

• Rest well when you are feeling tired.
• Maintain adequate hydration unless informed by the doctor to restrict fluids.
• Avoid drinking fluid with meals, particularly carbonated beverages.
• Do not consume caffeine, spicy and processed foods.
• Limit alcohol consumption and avoid smoking.
• Include fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in your diet.
• Maintain a healthy body weight.
• Cut down on salty foods.

• Women of childbearing potential are advised to avoid becoming pregnant during treatment with Tegoyes 15 Capsule. Consult the doctor immediately if you become pregnant during treatment.
• Both male and female patients should take contraceptive measures during treatment and for 6 months after stopping the treatment.
