Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's belongs to a class of protein kinase inhibitors primarily used to manage or treat lung cancer. Lung cancer is a disease that causes malignant (cancer) cells to grow in lung tissues.

Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's contains Osimertinib, which blocks proteins on cancer cells that encourage cancer growth. Thus, it reduces or stops the progression of advanced cancer.

To treat your condition effectually, continue using Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. The most common adverse reactions are diarrhoea, rash, dry skin, nail toxicity, stomatitis (inflammation of the oral mucosa), fatigue (feeling overtired), decreased appetite, and low blood cell counts. You should talk to your doctor if you persistently experience these side effects.

Before taking the Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's, inform your doctor about all your allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to medicines or food. Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman. It is critical not to become pregnant or get pregnant while undergoing therapy and for several months after the treatment. Using effective contraceptive methods is recommended while on therapy with Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's. Drug Warnings

Before taking the Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's, inform your doctor about all your medical conditions, sensitivities, and medications you are using. Exposure of an unborn child to this medication could cause birth defects, so you should not become pregnant or father a child while on this medication. Effective birth control is required throughout treatment and at least six weeks after treatment for women and four months after treatment for males. You should not breastfeed while taking this medication for two weeks after your last dose. Unless the doctor suggests, do not use any other medicine, including herbal or vitamin supplements. In rare cases, Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's therapy may lead to Interstitial lung disease (ILD)/Pneumonitis. Dyspnea, cough, and fever are the symptoms which may be indicative of ILD. If these symptoms worsen, contact your doctor right away. If ILD is confirmed, your doctor will discontinue the Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's therapy.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's may interact with medicines used to treat HIV infection (e.g. amprenavir, atazanavir, efavirenz), antibiotics (e.g. erythromycin, gatifloxacin), antidepressants (e.g. escitalopram), immunomodulating medication (e.g. fingolimod), anaesthetics (e.g. halothane) and vaccines (e.g. typhoid vaccine, live, smallpox vaccine, rotavirus vaccine) and antiarrhythmic agent (e.g. quinidine).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Tagrisso 40 mg Tablet 10's interacts with disease conditions, including ILD (Interstitial lung disease)/Pneumonitis (inflammation in your lung tissues without an infection), infections (bacterial/fungal/protozoal/viral), ventricular arrhythmia, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, dermatitis, ocular infection, pulmonary impairment, fever, renal dysfunction, liver disease.
