Ris 2mg Tablet is used to treat schizophrenia. It is also used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat mania or mixed episodes (mania and depression) in adults and children above 10 years with bipolar disorder. It is also used to treat behavioural problems in children aged 5 to 16 years with autism. About Ris 2mg Tablet

Ris 2mg Tablet is used to treat schizophrenia. Directions for Use

Tablet/Capsule: Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush the tablet/capsule. Orally disintegrating tablet: Place the orally disintegrating tablet on the tongue and allow it to dissolve. Do not chew or crush it.Syrup/Suspension/Drops: Shake the bottle well before each use. Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper.

Do not take Ris 2mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, low white blood cell count, seizures, breast cancer, low bone mineral density, Parkinson's disease, dehydration, phenylketonuria (accumulation of amino acid-phenylalanine in the body), liver or kidney problems. Rise slowly from sitting or lying position as Ris 2mg Tablet may cause orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering in blood pressure leading to dizziness on standing). Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy. Avoid breastfeeding while on treatment with Ris 2mg Tablet.

What if I have taken an overdose of Ris 2mg Tablet

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Ris 2mg Tablet as it may cause overdose. The symptoms of overdose include muscle stiffness, seizures (fits), drowsiness, fast/pounding/irregular heartbeat and unusual movements of face or body that cannot be controlled. If you suspect you have taken overdose or notice signs of overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.
