Rapro-It Capsule is used to lower the increased level of stomach acid. It treats GERD (gastro-oesophagal reflux disease), and peptic ulcers. It contains Rabeprazole and Itopride, which blocks acid production and provides relief from heartburn and acid-related digestion. Also, it works on the part of the brain that is responsible for controlling vomiting. It increases the movement of stomach and intestines in the upper digestive tract. Thus, it helps prevent acid reflux, thereby relieving acidity. Sometimes, it may cause common side effects such as headache, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, and diarrhoea. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

About Rapro-It Capsule

Rapro-It Capsule is used to lower the increased level of stomach acid. It treats GERD (gastro-oesophagal reflux disease), and peptic ulcers. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for acid production. It minimizes the release of acid from the stomach, which provides relief from heartburn and acid-related digestion. While Itopride works on the part of the brain that is responsible for controlling vomiting.  It increases gastric emp undying improves gastric sensitivity and tension by increasing the stomach's movement and intestines in the upper digestive tract. It also has anti-emetic action. Together, Rapro-It Capsule helps prevent acid reflux, thereby relieving acidity.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): The stomach is usually protected from acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, the mucous layer gets eroded due to excess acid production, which leads to complications like GERD, acidity, and peptic ulcers. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). This backflow (acid reflux) irritates the food pipe and causes heartburn. Symptoms include heartburn, a sour or bitter taste, and difficulty swallowing. Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the stomach and intestine lining due to erosion of the stomach's protective lining. Symptoms include nausea, changes in appetite, bloody or dark stools, unexplained weight loss, vomiting, and indigestion.
