Omegyn-DSR Capsule belongs to the class of drugs known as Proton pump inhibitors, which reduce the amount of acid your stomach produces. It treats gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (overproduction of acid due to a pancreatic tumour), duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, and Crohn’s disease-associated ulcers.

Omegyn-DSR Capsule is a combination of Esomeprazole and Domperidone that helps reduce stomach acid by blocking the action of an enzyme (H+/K+ ATPase, also known as the gastric proton pump), thus preventing the release of stomach acid and relieving symptoms of food pipe lining inflammation (esophagitis), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), or heartburn.

Not everyone who is taking Omegyn-DSR Capsule will get these side effects. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as dry mouth, stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache, and flatulence. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve over time. However, if you experience these side effects persistently, talk to your doctor.

Take Omegyn-DSR Capsule as advised. Your physician will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. You should take Omegyn-DSR Capsule 30 minutes before food. It is recommended not to exceed the recommended dose of Omegyn-DSR Capsule . Do not chew, crush, or break the medicine.

• Avoid consuming alcohol along with Omegyn-DSR Capsule as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can elevate the production of stomach acid.
• A prolonged intake of Omegyn-DSR Capsule is linked with a greater risk of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea, so if you develop diarrhoea that does not improve, immediately consult a doctor.
