Lanofast-D Capsule 10's belongs to a class of drugs called 'antacids' used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is characterized by the formation of tumours in the upper part of the small intestine, which leads to excess acid production.

Lanofast-D Capsule 10's is a combination of two medicines, namely: 'Domperidone' and 'Lansoprazole'. Domperidone increases food movement in the stomach, which helps avoid the problems related to indigestion, bloating, and fullness. This medicine also restricts the action of a chemical that is responsible for the feeling of vomiting and nausea. On the other side, Lansoprazole works by blocking the action of proton pumps that are involved in producing stomach acid. Thereby, Lanofast-D Capsule 10's reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach and prevents excess acid from flowing back into the food pipe. Thus, both medicines in combination provide relief from heartburn symptoms related to acid reflux.

Take Lanofast-D Capsule 10's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Lanofast-D Capsule 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. You may experience diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, stomach pain, or constipation in some cases. Most of these side effects of Lanofast-D Capsule 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Lanofast-D Capsule 10's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Lanofast-D Capsule 10's is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not established. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking Lanofast-D Capsule 10's. Drive only if you are alert as Lanofast-D Capsule 10's may cause drowsiness. Avoid alcohol consumption as it may lead to increased stomach acid production, thereby increasing acidity and heartburn. Lanofast-D Capsule 10's is safe to be used by elderly persons, and no dosage adjustments are required.

Lanofast-D Capsule 10's is suggested for the treatment of certain stomach related problems like ulcers and acid reflux. This medicine provides relief in heartburn and reduces the risk associated with acid's damage to the stomach and food pipe. It also reduces the risk of cancer of food pipe, a taste of acid in the mouth, chest pain, and teeth damage. Domperidone helps to increase the movement of the bowel in the intestine. It also treats vomiting and nausea caused by the usage of other medications. While Lansoprazole helps reduce frequent heartburn that happens for 2 or more days.

Therefore, regular blood tests are recommended to monitor magnesium levels. If you experience bloody or watery diarrhoea with symptoms such as stomach pain, fever, or tenderness, contact your doctor immediately.

• Avoid lying down after eating as it causes acid reflux.
• Avoid tight-fitting clothes as it might increase the pressure on the abdomen leading to acid reflux.
• Practice relaxation techniques and avoid stress by doing yoga or meditation.
• Avoid foods such as high-fat food, spicy food, chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea, and soda.
• Avoid sitting continuously as it may trigger acidity. Take a break of 5 minutes every hour by doing brisk walking or stretching.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption. Alcohol intake leads to increased production of stomach acid, thereby increases acidity and heartburn.
