Imeglyn 1000 Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine used for the treatment of Type II Diabetes. Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a serious condition wherein the body doesn’t use insulin effectively, which causes unusual blood glucose levels. Type II diabetes patients either do not create enough insulin, or the insulin they do make does not accomplish its purpose in the body (insulin resistance). This condition mostly occurs in middle-aged or older patients.
Imeglyn 1000 Tablet contains Imeglimin, which belongs to the amino triazines class of antidiabetic medicine. Imeglyn 1000 Tablet may cause certain side effects such as vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, headache and allergic reactions. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. Imeglyn 1000 Tablet should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. The dose of the medicine will be decided by the doctor based on your disease condition.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Imeglyn 1000 Tablet interacts with an anti-depressant (bupropion), drugs used to treat glaucoma, antibiotics (cephalexin, ciprofloxacin), anti-acidity drugs (cimetidine), heart condition drugs (digoxin), anti-epileptic drugs (topiramate, lamotrigine), heart-related chest medicine (ranolazine).
Drug-Food Interactions: Intake of excessive alcoholic beverages may increase the chance of a life-threatening condition known as Lactic Acidosis. So, avoid intake of alcoholic beverages with Imeglyn 1000 Tablet .
