BRUTAL TABLET

BRUTAL TABLET belongs to the class of medications called 'anthelmintics' used to treat parasitic worm infections. Parasitic worm infections are intestinal worm infections that are caused by the ingestion of contaminated food and water.

BRUTAL TABLET contains albendazole and levamisole. Albendazole works by inhibiting tubulin polymerization, causing metabolic disruption and energy depletion in the parasite, leading to immobilization. Levamisole works by suppressing the worm's muscle's enzyme activity, leading to paralysis and death. This eventually leads to the death of susceptible helminths and thus prevents the growth of parasitic infections.

Take BRUTAL TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of BRUTAL TABLET are nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhoea, metallic taste, headache, dizziness, and stomach pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. If any of the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Avoid taking BRUTAL TABLET if you are allergic to 'albendazole', 'levamisole', or any ingredients present in it. It may cause dizziness, so refrain from activities that require you to stay alert. BRUTAL TABLET is not recommended in pregnancy. Before taking BRUTAL TABLET, inform your doctor about your complete medical history.

Due to the risk of liver or bone marrow damage during albendazole therapy, blood counts and liver function tests should be performed regularly (at least once every two weeks). Albendazole may cause fetal damage; thus, women of reproductive age should begin medication after a negative pregnancy test. Women of reproductive age should avoid becoming pregnant while taking BRUTAL TABLET or within one month of completing therapy. BRUTAL TABLET should be taken with food.
