About Pro-HB Syrup

Pro-HB Syrup belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry the adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.

Pro-HB Syrup contains Ferrous ascorbate, which is a combination of iron and vitamin C. Iron works by replenishing iron stores, and vitamin C enhances iron absorption in the body. Thus, Pro-HB Syrup helps to treat iron deficiency.

Take Pro-HB Syrup as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea or dark-coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Pro-HB Syrup do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Pro-HB Syrup or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using Pro-HB Syrup . Pro-HB Syrup should be used in children only if recommended by a doctor. You are recommended to take Pro-HB Syrup for as long as it is advised by your doctor.
