Lube Eye Drop belongs to the class 'eye lubricants' generally used for the treatment of dry eyes. This is a common condition (dry eyes) that may occur if your eye doesn't produce enough tears or poor-quality tears. This tear instability leads to inflammation and damage of the eye's surface, burning or scratchy sensation in your eyes, stringy mucus in or around your eyes, sensitivity to light, Eye redness and sensation of having something in your eyes.

Lube Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines, namely: polyvinyl alcohol and povidone-iodine. Polyvinyl Alcohol is a lubricating medicine similar to natural tears. It provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic, it kills bacteria and relieves minor irritation in the eye.

Lube Eye Drop should be used as advised by your doctor. Lube Eye Drop is only for use in eyes. Some of the minor side effects are Blurred vision, Eye irritation, Watery eyes may occur temporarily. If it persists take advice of your doctor.

• Take fish in your diet which has omega-3 fatty acids which may counter dry eyes.
• Leafy greens are rich in vitamin C that contributes to eye health.
• Drink more water, water has a big part to play in tear production.
• Avoid air blowing in your eyes
• Take eye breaks during long tasks and keep your computer screen below eye level.
• Stop smoking and avoid drinking alcohol.
• Use eyeglasses when you are going out.

If you are using other eye drops along with Lube Eye Drop, maintain an interval of at least 5 minutes before administering other medicines in the same eye to avoid dilution.
