About Homocyst Tablet

Homocyst Tablet is used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is used to treat and prevent vitamin B6 deficiency, folate deficiency, and vitamin B12 deficiency. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body is unable to absorb or get enough nutrients from food. It could lead to various health problems, including defective bone growth, anaemia, skin disorders, digestive issues, nerve disorders, and dementia (memory loss).

Homocyst Tablet contains Choline bitartrate, Folic acid, Vitamin B6, and Mecobalamin. Choline bitartrate is an essential nutrient supporting bodily functions like cellular growth and metabolism. Folic acid, a form of Vitamin B, helps form red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Mecobalamin/Methylcobalamin/Vitamin B12 regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis.

Your doctor will decide the dosage and duration based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Homocyst Tablet may cause common side effects like stomach upset, diarrhoea, numbness/tingling, nausea, and vomiting. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time.

Let your doctor know if you use any prescription and non-prescription medications, including other vitamins, before starting Homocyst Tablet . Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Homocyst Tablet or other medicines. Inform your doctor beforehand if you have a history of liver, heart, or kidney diseases or scheduled surgery. It is essential to let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using Homocyst Tablet . Avoid consuming alcohol along with Homocyst Tablet to ensure maximum absorption of nutrients. Homocyst Tablet should be used in children only with the doctor's advice.

Medicinal Benefits

Homocyst Tablet is used to treat nutritional deficiencies and contains Choline bitartrate, Folic acid, VItamin B6, and Mecobalamin. Choline bitartrate is an essential nutrient that supports bodily functions like cellular growth and metabolism. It prevents liver damage due to alcohol, controls mood swings, and decreases high cholesterol levels. Folic acid prevents and treats folate deficiency and hyperhomocysteinemia (high blood levels of amino acid and homocysteine). It is also used to treat anaemia (lack of red blood cells). Vitamin B6 treats and prevents vitamin B6 deficiency, anaemia, peripheral neuropathy, and seizures (fits). It helps in cognitive development through the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters and maintains normal homocysteine levels (an amino acid in the blood). Mecobalamin treats Vitamin B12 deficiency and regulates body functions like cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. It treats neuropathy, pernicious anaemia (red blood cells are not produced due to Vitamin B12 deficiency), and multiple sclerosis (immune system disease affecting the brain).
